PHS DECA students qualify for state competition

Seven Pattonville High School students will compete at state after taking honors at the district DECA competition. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

Those moving on to state and the honors they earned at districts are:

Emma Hohenstein, first place in leadership delegate and second place in hotel lodging and management marketing; Nicholas Rauscher, first place in automotive services marketing; Ross Reynolds, first place in business services marketing; Sophie Vik, first place in apparel and accessories marketing; Taityanna Beard, second place in human resource management marketing; Madison Duello, third place in business services marketing; and Arielle Williams, third place in apparel and accessories marketing.

DECA is sponsored at Pattonville High School by Doug McGhee and Holly Martinez.
