|New tool will help middle, high schoolers with future planning|
|Wednesday, February 15, 2017|
Next year, Pattonville middle and high school students will have a new tool to help them explore and plan for life after graduation. The Pattonville Board of Education approved a three-year agreement to purchase the services of Naviance, an interactive, online platform that will connect students, families, teachers, counselors and school leaders with real-time information for college and career planning.
Naviance will assist Pattonville educators with the work they are currently doing through Pirate Connections and advisories at the high school and middle school to help students prepare for college and careers. The program helps districts and schools align student strengths and interests to their post-graduation goals, helping to improve student outcomes and connecting learning to real life. Naviance serves as a centralized platform for content, support, communication and collaboration for different key individuals who are important to the college and career planning process, including students, parents and school officials. Pattonville will use Naviance to assist students in sixth through 12th grades with the college and career exploration process, beginning in the fall of 2017.
