|Board approves new director of secondary education|

The Pattonville Board of Education on May 23 approved the selection of Cara Hiripityage as director of secondary education. She will begin her new position July 1.
Hiripityage has served as assistant principal at Pattonville High School since 2008. She previously worked as an English teacher at Lindbergh High School, where she also completed an administrative internship. Hiripityage holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Maryville University as well as a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and is pursuing her doctorate degree in educational leadership from Maryville University.
