Pattonville's Homecoming theme, parade route announced

Pattonville High School announced its theme and parade route for this year's Homecoming festivities. The school is now accepting applications from groups that wish to participate in the parade. Pattonville's Homecoming activities will take place Oct. 13 and 14. The theme this year is "Villemade Heroes" and will include the high school classes representing different supeheroes (seniors, Superman; juniors, Batman; sophomores, Avengers; and freshmen, The Incredibles).

Friday, Oct. 13
7 p.m. : Football Game
Watch the varsity Pirates take on Parkway North High School. During half-time, the homecoming court will be announced and the queen will be crowned. Tickets for the football game are $5 for adults, $3 for students with ID and free for children 7 and younger.

Saturday, Oct. 14
9:50 a.m. : One-Mile Fun Run
Students in kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to participate in this run. For more information on costs and how to register, call the Pattonville community education office at (314) 213-8094.

10 a.m. : Parade
The parade floats will stage at the BJC parking lot at the corner of Old St. Charles and McKelvey roads. The parade begins at this intersection and proceeds down McKelvey and Creve Coeur Mill roads until it reaches the high school. Floats and walking groups from all Pattonville schools and many school groups participate, as well as community groups and alumni classes. Alumni, community or school groups wishing to participate in the parade should fill out this online form. For more information, contact Jacqueline Saxton at jsaxton@psdr3.org.

11 a.m. : Alumni Barbecue
The Pattonville Alumni Association will host a barbecue between the parade and Jr. Pirate game. Proceeds benefit the senior scholarship fund. The barbecue is open to the public.

1 and 3 p.m. : Jr. Pirate Football
The Jr. Pirate Football teams will play two games against Parkway West Middle School at the Pattonville Stadium. The seventh-grade team will play a game at 1 p.m., while the eighth-grade team plays at 3 p.m.

7 p.m. : Dance
The Homecoming dance will be held for Pattonville High School students.

Alumni Groups
Alumni groups who are interested in touring Pattonville High School as part of homecoming festivities can arrange a tour in advance by calling Debbie Jansen in Pattonville High School's principal's office at (314) 213-8051.
