Hundreds of Pattonville Pirate fans celebrated homecoming with two days of activities on Oct. 12 and 13. The weekend included a football game, K-8 fun run, parade, food trucks, face painting and a student dance.

Winners in the annual float competition for the parade were as follows: Green and White Award (community float) - Dance Factory; Traveling Trophy (best elementary/middle school float) - Holman Middle School; Pete's Pick (outstanding high school club/organization/sport float) - Pattonville GSA; Outstanding Theme Award - Parkwood Elementary School; and Outstanding Class Float - Seniors.

Senior Helen Nelson was crowned homecoming queen. Other members of the homecoming court were: seniors Allison Brown, Sarah Johnson, Victoria Lofland, Summer Parker and Emily Reyes; juniors Kinzi Boyer and Molly Hanford; sophomores Callie Farrar and Rachel McCormick; and freshmen Katie Ridings and Isabelle Tucker.

The Pattonville Pirate football team fell to a strong Ladue 35 to 7, only the second loss of the year so far. The team is ranked No. 8 in Class 6 football.

Each year, the week leading up to homecoming is marked by a Spirit Week at the high school. The week includes various class competitions, including dress-up days and competitions at two pep rallies. The senior class won Spirit Week overall.
