Board Actions

The board of education on Dec. 12:

  • Heard a Prop S update on current construction work; view the presentation;
  • Approved the district financial audit for the 2022-2023 school year; view the presentation;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s teaching and learning program evaluation; read the report or view the presentation;
  • Heard a presentation by high school students regarding the creation of an eSports program; view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $1,027,003.33 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for November 2023;
  • Approved paying $237,816.10, for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $2,378.16);
  • Approved the resolution authorizing the execution and delivery of the documents required in connection with the acquisition, financing and leasing of energy efficiency improvement equipment;
  • Approved curriculum course change recommendations for the 2024-2025 school year;
  • Approved the instructional materials adoption for English language arts materials for $524,800;
  • Lodged for action the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school calendars; a vote is expected at the Jan. 9 meeting;
  • Approved the renaming of Remington Traditional School to the Academy of Innovation at Remington, starting with the 2024-25 school year;
  • Approved paying $8,024.50 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt for legal services;
  • Awarded the bid for 840 cases of copy paper to Office Essentials for $27,510;
  • Approved the agreement with Sherwood Forest for the 2024 Fifth Grade Camp program for approximately $75,000; and
  • Approved the bid and agreement with Apple Inc. for 700 staff iPads, cases and pens for $495,530.
