Board Actions
The board of education on May 12:
  • Reviewed an update on the district's distance learning and other essential functions while school buildings are closed;
  • Approved paying $1,400,180.18 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for the month of April 2020;
  • Approved paying $350,004.19 for purchases made on the district's purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of 1% (or $3,500.04);
  • Lodged for action revisions to the 2019-2020 budget; a vote is expected at the June 9 board meeting;
  • Approved curriculum course changes for the 2020-2021 school year that include the addition of the following classes at Pattonville High School: Introduction to World Cultures and Language and Music Technology 1 and 2;
  • Approved the recommended number of paraprofessionals for the 2020-2021 school-year;
  • Approved the May 2020 transportation route miles for the 2019-2020 school year;
  • Lodged for action revisions to Pattonville's 2020-2021 student behavior guides; a vote is expected at the June 9 board meeting;
  • Approved paying $11,176 to the Missouri School Boards' Association for 2020-2021 membership dues;
  • Approved paying $1,966.50 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan and Jackstadt for legal services;
  • Approved paying $20,970.96 to renew license and subscription fees for PowerSchool enrollment services;
  • Approved a one-year contract with IXL Learning for IXL site licenses for students beginning July 1 for $12,085;
  • Approved an agreement with Empower Learning for the learning management system license and service agreement for one year for $23,235;
  • Approved a contract with Buck Institute for Education for PBL (project-based learning) 101 professional development for $12,500;
  • Approved a contract with The Core Collaborative for Rigorous PBL by Design professional development on July 27 and 28 for $11,305;
  • Awarded the bid for choir uniforms to Murphy Robes for $39,177.23;
  • Approved the renewal of the NoRedInk premium site license for $25,515;
  • Approved the renewal of the MySci Partnership Program with Washington University, Institute for School Partnership, for the 2021-2022 academic year for $48,906;
  • Awarded bids for the purchase of musical instruments for the high school band and orchestra programs to Music & Arts for $24,899 and Palen Music Center for $8467.95;
  • Awarded bids for the purchase of musical instruments for Pattonville Heights Middle School's band and orchestra programs to Music & Arts for $15,066.60 and Palen Music Center for $2,005;
  • Awarded bids for the purchase of musical instruments for Holman Middle School's band and orchestra programs to Music & Arts for $8,669 and Palen Music Center for $1,177;
  • Awarded bids for the purchase of musical instruments for Remington Traditional School's band and orchestra programs to Music & Arts for $5,688, Palen Music Center for $3,054.50 and Top Notch for $77;
  • Awarded the bid for purchase of an Aruba Clear Pass Wi-Fi authentification system to Provision Data Solutions for $87,711;
  • Awarded a bid for structural resurfacing of the Pattonville High School track to Bryne and Jones Construction for $108,340.65;
  • Approve paying $100,680 to Advanced Equipment to purchase weight room equipment and flooring for Pattonville High School; these items are being funded by the 2017 zero tax rate bond issue; and
  • Approved the lease of 1,780 MacBook Air laptops and other equipment for Pattonville High School from Apple for $503,917.75 annually for four years;
